MOMENT OF ENCOUNTER DEVOTIONAL

DON'T LET PEOPLE WHO AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE TAKE YOU WITH THEM
Text: Numbers 13:30-33

Devotional Message
One of the greatest dangers in life is not the enemy ahead of you but the wrong people beside you.
Many destinies have been delayed, not by demons, but by people who have no vision and no desire to move forward. If you tell them God has given you a dream, they immediately organize a committee to explain why it cannot work!
When Moses sent twelve spies to Canaan, ten returned with a report full of fear and doubt. Joshua and Caleb saw the same land but spoke faith. Unfortunately, the people listened to the majority and wandered in the wilderness for forty years.
Never allow someone else's fear to become your future.
Biblical Examples of Destiny Distractions
1. The Ten Spies and Israel
The ten spies focused on giants, while Joshua and Caleb focused on God's promise. Negative voices almost prevented an entire nation from entering its inheritance.
2. Lot's Wife
As God delivered Lot's family from Sodom, his wife looked back and became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). Her heart remained where God had already judged.
3. Rehoboam
Rehoboam ignored the wise counsel of the elders and followed the advice of his immature friends. The result was a divided kingdom (1 Kings 12:1-16).
4. The Sailors in Paul's Voyage
Paul warned against continuing the journey, but the majority preferred another opinion. Their decision led to a shipwreck (Acts 27:9-12).
How to Overcome Distractions
1. Know Your Purpose
People who know where they are going are harder to distract.
2. Guard Your Ears
Not every voice deserves access to your spirit. Feed on God's Word more than people's opinions.
3. Choose Your Company Wisely
Walk with people who inspire faith, growth, and godliness.
4. Learn to Say No
Every invitation is not an opportunity, and every suggestion is not divine direction.
5. Stay Focused on God's Promise
When your eyes remain on God, distractions lose their power.
Word of Encouragement
An eagle cannot learn to fly among chickens. If God has called you higher, do not allow negative voices to keep you grounded. Love everyone, but do not follow everyone. Respect people, but let God's voice be your final authority.
Prayer Points
1. Father, separate me from every influence that hinders my destiny.
2. Lord, grant me discernment to recognize distracting voices.
3. Help me remain focused on Your purpose for my life.
4. Connect me with people who will strengthen my faith.
5. Let every spirit of discouragement lose its hold over me.
Prophetic Declaration
I decree that every negative influence assigned against your destiny shall fail. God will align you with the right people, the right opportunities, and the right direction. You shall not miss your divine purpose. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Thought for the Day:
Love everybody, but do not surrender your destiny to people who have abandoned theirs.
